FOREGROUND FOCUS
by Adrienne Lubbe
The
foreground of a photo can play an important part of the overall
composition of a photo.
This photo was taken
on manual focus so that the flowers
in the foreground
were in focus and the monument in the
background is
blurred, but still easily identifiable.
Lie down on the
ground to get a different perspective.

Here, the depth of field is higher,
meaning that the foreground and the background is in focus.
The unusual foreground makes the photo so much more
interesting that just a mountain and a lake, although the interest of the
photo has shifted from the lake
to the tree stumps.
