CREATIVE PAINTING -
Dry Brushing
by Adrienne Lubbe

I recently came across a set of 'open windows', but due to age and
exposure
to light, the paper had discoloured in patches. So I decided to paint
the page
in order to disguise the discolouration.

Squeeze a few colours of your choice onto a paint palette.

Load the brush with a little of the paint and take most of the paint
off
on waste paper before you start painting.

Paint onto the paper with your 'dry brush' so that it creates
streaks
of dry colour. Repeat with various colours to create a nice worn
look
on the page.

Once you have finished painting, ink the edges with a chalk ink.

The completed paint job with all the original discoloured patches
gone.

and embellished with sticker letters, lettering and rub ons.
