CHANGE THE ANGLES ON PHOTOS
by Adrienne Lubbe
LOOK UP
WHEN SHOOTING

Emphasize
height by photographing your subject from below.
One might even
have to get down on your knees or
lie down on
the ground to get this effect.
LOOK DOWN
WHEN SHOOTING

Look down on
your subject when taking a portrait.
Get children
to sit on the ground or adults on a chair, or you can stand on a
chair/table.
If there is a
staircase in the vicinity, get a group of people to pose on the
staircase.
This
automatically gets your subject to look upwards, downplaying any
heaviness
in the face
and neck and emphasizing the eyes.
GET DOWN TO GROUND LEVEL

This photo is
how one would normally take a scenery shot.

Get down to
ground level and create a far more dramatic effect.
Notice how the
emphasis changes from the house to the flowers
