To tie a bow with printed ribbon

It can be difficult to tie a bow with printed

ribbon so that you get to see the print on the right side

once the bow is completed.

Hint: Use a longer piece of ribbon than you think you need

because it is difficult to tie a bow with a short piece.

1. Make a single twist keeping right sides facing out.

2. Make two loops with right sides facing out.

3. Twist the two loops through each other.

4. Pull bow tight. You will probably make large,

uneven loops at this stage.

5. Adjust the size of the loops by pulling the long ends to shorten them,

then pull the knot  tight again by pulling on the loops.

Repeat until you are happy with the size and tightness of the bow.

6. Trim the long ends off diagonally.
